The Zephyrs Are On The Air!  Guess Who Is A Zephyrs Broadcaster?
Catch all of the action of New Orleans Zephyrs Baseball on your radio and television! Catch All 144 games live! Fans can tune into AM 690 WIST "The Mighty 690" to hear all 144 games of action on the radio, while a select number of games will be televised on Cox Sports Television (Channel 37). The live commentary will be provided by Tim Grubbs and Former Major League outfielder Ron Swoboda all season long.

Tim Grubbs will be broadcasting his 18th season of professional baseball. Before the Zephyrs, he spent three years as the broadcaster for the Class AA Tennessee Smokies. In 2001 he was named the Southern League's Broadcaster of the year. In 2002 Tim broadcasted his 1000th professional baseball game.

Joining Tim in the booth will be former World Series hero Ron Swoboda. After completing nine years in Major League baseball with the Mets, (including the 1969 World Champions), Yankees and Expos, Ron spent twenty years as an anchor and reporter in local television news starting in NewYork with stops along the way in Milwaukee and Phoenix, winding up here in New Orleans. He is involved in community relations and also writes a monthly column in New Orleans Magazine.

Each radio broadcast on WIST 690AM begins with a fifteen minute pregame show and will conclude with a comprehensive post game wrap-up from around the Major Leagues and The Pacific Coast League. All radio broadcasts are also available at: www.zephyrsbaseball.com and www.wistradio.com.
